We are pleased to announce that the 46th Conference of the Japan Association for English Corpus Studies (JAECS) will be held online on October 3 (Sat) and 4 (Sun), 2020. JAECS is the largest academic society in Japan devoted to corpus research and has a 27 year history. Each year, the society holds an annual conference that provides a platform for researchers to present research on uses of corpora in English linguistics, literature, education, and related fields. Following this tradition, we welcome papers from JAECS members as well as non-members that focus on the creation and uses of corpora, the creation and application of corpus tools and methods, as well as other research topics that relate to English corpus studies. Only previously unpublished papers are accepted.
In addition to paper presentations, JAECS members are invited to submit workshop and symposium proposals. Workshop facilitators and symposium chairs must be JAECS members, although non-members can be panelists.
英語コーパス学会第 46 回大会を 2020 年 10 月 3 日（土）・4 日（日）にオンラインで開催いたします。英語コーパス学会は日本国内で最大のコーパス関連の学会であり、27 年の長い歴史があります。年一回の大会では英語学・英文学・英語教育を初め、広い視点でコーパスを利用する研究を発表する場を設けています。本大会開催にあたり、コーパス作成・利用・コーパスツール開発・応用を中心に据えた英語研究に関する研究発表を募集いたしますので奮ってご応募ください。なお、発表は未発表の研究に限ります。
研究発表と同時に、ワークショップとシンポジウムも募集しております。ワークショップ講師・シンポジウムコーディネイターは本学会員である必要がありますが、他の登壇者は非会員でも構いません。
Types of presentation / 発表の種類
JAECS member (including Meritorious member) regular papers / 会員発表枠 一般会員（功労会員を含む）
The first author of the submission must be a JAECS member or Meritorious member (no restrictions apply to second or other authors of a submission). A JAECS member (or Meritorious member) may only submit one submission as a first author. Presenters will need to submit a 20-minute (max. time) presentation video (e.g. slideshow with audio, or video/audio recording of speaker while displaying materials) prior to the start of the conference. The date to submit videos will be announced at the time when decisions are sent out. Participants at the conference will be able to view the video presentations during the days of the conference. Participants can ask questions about the presentations using an online forum or take part in real-time discussions of the content at a designated time during the conference (via chat or web conferencing).

代表者は本学会員（功労会員を含む）であること (連名発表の第二（以降）発表者は必ずしも会員でなくても構いません)。同一人物が代表者となる複数件の発表申し込みは認めません。最大20 分の発表動画（音声付きのスライドショー、資料を表示しながら音声を入れて録画した映像等を保存したもの、など）を事前に提出して頂き、大会中、大会参加者が動画を閲覧できるようにします。動画の提出日は、発表決定のお知らせに記載致します。質疑応答はフォーラム形式または大会中の指定した時間にリアルタイム（チャット・ウェブ会議等）で行うことを基本とします。

JAECS NON-member regular papers / 非会員特別発表枠
The first author of the submission must be a NON-member of JAECS. Non-members may only submit one submission as a first author. The same procedure as for JAECS members’ presentations will be followed, except the maximum time for presentations is set at 15 min. Real-time discussions of the presentation content will be held in a single parallel session.

Workshop/Symposium / ワークショップ・シンポジウム
JAECS members are invited to submit workshop and symposium proposals. The workshop facilitator and symposium chair must be a JAECS member, although non-members can be panelists. Each workshop will be scheduled for 60 minutes, and each symposium will be 90 minutes long.

JAECS Student Best Presentation Award / 英語コーパス学会学生優秀発表賞
Single-authored presentations given by student members of JAECS as of the conference date will be considered for the award.
発表時に学生会員である方で、希望する方の単独発表のみが審査の対象となります。
Language / 使用言語
The language of the conference is Japanese and English. As part of the internationalization of the society, English presentations are strongly encouraged.
発表言語は日本語または英語です。学会の国際化推進のため、英語による発表を強く推奨します。
Abstract / 要旨
The length of the abstract should not exceed 300 English words (or 600 Japanese characters) not including references. List any references at the end of the abstract in APA format. With the exception of descriptions of corpora and corpus tools, abstracts should provide clearly articulated research question(s), the most essential details about research approach, data and methods, as well as the results.
文献リストを除いて 300 語以内（日本語の場合は 600 字以内）で記入してください。必要に応じて参考文献を要旨の最後に明示してください (APA 形式）。ツールやコーパス開発などの発表を除き、リサーチクエスチョンを示した上で、使用したコーパスやデータや方法と、研究から得られた知見を明快に記述してください。
